Julia Alcantara

aptitude in the arts goes back to childhood, and working as an art consultant and designer enables her to share this deep seeded appreciation of the arts with others. She finds pleasure in educating and getting to know her clients. An artist herself, Julia has a well trained eye for color, design and an extensive knowledge of architecture and how the interior should work wih the exterior. She attended the University of New Mexico in Albuquerque where she was able to complete a BA in Art History, a BFA in Studio Art and study another passion, Flamenco, at the most respected Flamenco Dance school in the country.  You might have seen her dance company 'Ida y Vuelta' in the Dallas Morning news, at The State Fair or the Gypsy Tea Room.

Studying the History of Art and Architecture, roots her love of the contemporary in the almost scientific nature of art in the past. Composition, color and concept must work together to create good design, no matter what decade or style. So whatever your taste or price range you can be sure your are getting the best by trusting her discerning eye, and a diverse team of artisans in the industry.

Solving unusual spatial challenges or projects that require historic research are a welcomed challenge not a seen as a problem to this historian.  If you like people that think out of the box , or want something very unique you are in the right place. Some of her noteworthy corporate clients include. Mary Kay Inc., Sally Beauty Supply, Quest Diagnostics, Wachovia, Equity Office, and Capstar Real Estate. Watch for her events around town with local, national and international artists.

To get on the mailing list, just send her your contact info and you will be on the list for artist of the month updates and receptions where you can be a part of it all.
